Duff 'Stalker' Pleads 'Not Guilty'

The 18-year-old Russian immigrant Maksim Miakovsky accused of threatening to kill singer-turned-actress Hilary Duff has pleaded not guilty to stalking charges and he dined planning to harm Duff at a scheduled event at California Court ,yesterday.

His bail was raised to $1 million and he'll be back in court on Nov. 22 for a hearing to determine whether there's enough evidence for him to stand trial.

Last month, Hilary Duff and her boyfriend, Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden, requested a restraining order, alleging that Miakovsky "has stated his intention of 'removing' his 'enemies' (other potential suitors), has stated his intention of purchasing a weapon, and has threatened to kill himself and to engage in dramatic actions to get her attention."
