Stand by this summer as US superstar singer Hilary Duff returns alongside Polish dance remixers WAWA with the sensational Stranger, released on Hollywood Records via the Angel Music Group on September 03rd 2007.
Stranger sees Hilary continue her musical reinvention, hooking up with WAWA to produce an infectious slice of dance/pop heaven that is already topping club charts across the UK and the rest of the world.
The track has been building as a very hot limited promo since the start of summer and was dropped peak-time at the holy-grail of superclubs, Space in Ibiza, during the opening party. It was also awarded ‘Tune of the Week’ in their weekly podcast.
Co-written by Hilary herself, the lyrics reveal a relationship that is picture perfect in public, but cold behind closed doors.
Stanger is also included on Hilary’s critically acclaimed electro album Dignity. Here’s what the UK critics said about this confident collection of cool pop:
Dignity sees Hilary metamorphose into a moody, electro princess. The best tracks hold their own against Kylie. Duff as ever is charmingly chameleon-like The Guardian
It is pop of the sleekest kind. Hilary has been reinvented. Music Week
All in all this new direction works and might surprise a few ears. The Sun
She’s the hottest singer turned actress. Hilary’s fabulously camp new album will bring disco back with a feast of floor fillers. Company Magazine
Dignity debuted at No.4 in the USA, continuing Hilary’s amazing run of success. Her US No.1 solo debut album Metamorphosis sold 4 times platinum, followed by her self-titled and Most Wanted collections, both of which sold 3 million records. In the UK Hilary has hit the Top 10 with songs Wake Up and So Yesterday. Her Most Wanted album has to date sold over 100,000 copies in the UK, achieving Gold status.
WAWA are Polish duo Vic and Bojan. Over the past six years they have built a solid reputation as top notch DJs and producers. 2007 has seen WAWA’s profile raised even further thanks to their excellent remix of Stonebridge’s SOS a No.1 club record in the UK, and their remix for JoJo which went Top 3 in the club charts and was hammered by Scott Mills on Radio One.
Hilary is currently in rehearsals for her upcoming world tour, due to hit UK shores this autumn.

The CDVU+ format allows people to see exclusive videos and pictures of the artist through a digital magazine, company executives said. Four or five CDs will come out in the new format this year, including a re-release of Hilary Duff's album "Dignity," they said.

Blender gives Hilary Duff 3 stars (***) for her latest video "Stranger":
When it comes to straight-ahead electro-pop, Hilary Duff and Katharine McPhee are leading the pack this year with their excellent respective LPs. And while we’re still waiting on McPhee’s video for her potentially huge hit "Love Story," the Duff is back on the small screen with her clip for "Stranger." Like most of her Dignity album, this song has Hilary lamenting a relationship gone awry with a guy who can’t help being a jackass (wonder who she’s talking about…). And in this video, it just so happens that the new, more mature Duff is forced (forced!) to go undercover as a belly dancer to bust her fickle boyfriend. (She’s also apparently forced into giving us shameless close-ups of a certain cell phone, but no matter.) Her dancing skills are still a tad stilted but she makes up for it with some key "despondent" and "perturbed" acting faces. One thing’s for sure, this thing blows away anything Good Charlotte’s done in the last couple years.

Hillary Duff returns with a new studio album April 3 titled "Dignity" and a new single "With Love" launching mid-February to pop radio. The video will premiere on MTV 02/08. The "Dignity" album will be coming in a special CD/DVD combo pack and will include her recent single "Play With Fire."

Kara Dioguradi , a song writer is the co-writer for all the songs sang by Hilary on her album Dignity ,who has already written songs for Avril ,Britney and others too.
Why With Love...?
With Love is the name for a duff fragrance launched recently. This may be either the co-incidence or any other strategies or may even be a sort of inspirations in both the cases.

The song Where's your dignity? is written by Hilary herself and feels important to have dignity. She also claims her album to be a dance album.
The songs both being happy and sad , the influence of Joel split up could be guessed somehow. However this may not be true in either of the cases. She claims to be in touch with Joel even after the split up. But I guess ... I had written once in this very blog about Hilary ignoring Joel and not answering the calls from him..
Here is a video of Kiss fm 102.7 where Hilary had her first premiere for her album Dignity. Visit it at Hilary Duff Videos Encyclopedia

| Hilary Duff made a name for herself on the enormously successful Disney Channel/ABC Kids show Lizzie McGuire, which she parlayed into careers as a pop singer and film actress. Like most overnight successes, Duff paid her dues for a few years before her big break. Appearances in the 1997 women's Western True Women, 1998's Casper (as the Friendly Ghost's human friend Wendy), and 1999's The Soul Collector paved the way for her best-known role. Duff also appeared in the indie film Human Nature, reflecting her continuing big-screen aspirations. Duff began her first steps toward her singing career with the song "Santa Claus Lane," which appeared on the soundtrack to The Santa Clause 2, as well as her own Christmas album, also named Santa Claus Lane. That year, production ended on Lizzie McGuire, freeing up Duff to pursue other opportunities. Episodes of the show continued to run into 2003, but by that time Duff had begun to move on, appearing in the teen spy movie Agent Cody Banks. The soundtrack to the movie also featured several songs by Duff, including the singles "Why Not" and "I Can't Wait," which were both successes in their own right; the soundtrack went platinum in summer 2003. Around that time, Metamorphosis, Duff's bona fide debut as a singer, was released. The album charted number two on the Billboard 200 on the week of its release, and its single "So Yesterday" topped the pop singles chart earlier that summer. Duff's omnipresence in 2003 continued with appearances at that year's MTV Video Music Awards and the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, where she accepted Lizzie McGuire's trophy for Favorite TV Show. She also appeared in that year's film Cheaper By the Dozen and embarked on a tour that fall. The year 2004 looked to be just as busy for Duff, with movies like A Cinderella Story and Agent Cody Banks 2 on the docket, as well as a new TV series with CBS in the works. |
