CNW Group: Press Release

TORONTO, Sept. 4 /CNW/ - It’s a spectacle unlike any other. CTV confirmed details today for one of the most-anticipated nights for fans and party-goers during this year’s Toronto International Film Festival.

Thousands of fans and hundreds of stars will congregate this Friday night at Queen and John streets for the eTalk Star! Schmooze - which will now kick off with an exclusive outdoor edition of MuchMusic’s MuchOnDemand, featuring live, on-street performances by Hilary Duff.

The eTalk Star! Schmooze airs live across Canada on Star! and in Toronto on Citytv on Friday, Sept. 7 at 10 p.m. ET. CTV will rebroadcast the special on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 8 p.m. ET in all markets.

The eTalk Star! Schmooze will confirm its status as one of the most accessible events for fans at the Toronto International Film Festival when MuchMusic presents a free, live street performance by Hilary Duff to kick off the night outside of CTV’s Festival Headquarters. Fresh from her hosting duties at the Teen Choice Awards, the singer, songwriter, actress and fashion designer will warm-up the thousands of fans expected at Queen and John when she performs live on a special, pre-Schmooze, MuchOnDemand episode at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on MuchMusic, hosted by Leah Miller. Then, Duff will open the eTalk Star! Schmooze with another live performance. With her current album, Dignity, flying off the shelves and a host of upcoming films in the can, including the highly-anticipated John Cusack written movie War, Inc., Hilary Duff is the perfect choice to kick off the eTalk Star! Schmooze.

Looks like Hilary will have a couple busy days in Toronto.
Just to sum it all up, Hilary is opening up the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), by performing multiple songs on Much Music and then, right after, on CTV, another performance for eTalk!!!
